PLEASE BE AWARE: Summer School for elementary students has limited space and is ONLY by appointment by a teacher or School Assistance Team (SAT).

2014 Elementary Summer School
We are pleased to offer the 2014 RRPS Summer School Program* for students completing grades K-5. The elementary summer school program is an intensely concentrated four-week session that supports the needs of students through research-based interventions in the areas of reading/language arts and mathematics. View our Brochure here.
*Please note that enrollment is based on TEACHER RECOMMENDATION ONLY.

: June 2nd - June 26th, Monday through Thursday
  • Title 1 Schools: CAE, CDN, ESE, RRE, PDS, and MCE
  • Non-Title 1 Schools: MLK and SVE
Students Served:  The Elementary Summer School Program serves selected students currently attending Rio Rancho elementary schools, exiting kindergarten through 5th grade.  Eligibility is by teacher recommendation only, based on district criteria.  Non-Title I students may attend the Non-Title I Summer School location either on a scholarship (Title I- Homeless, Title III -ELL, VII- Indian Ed., IDEA) or tuition ($100.00).

Fifth graders selected to attend will be serviced at the Title I school they currently attend, and for Non-Title Fifth graders either MLKJr. or SVES

Registration/ Tuition: A registration fee will be paid by all participating Non-Title I students ($25.00), but cannot be collected from Title I participating students.  
  • Tuition for Non-Title I participating students is ($100.00) 
Summer school spaces are filled on a first come, first served basis, and students who register early are more likely to obtain enrollment.

Food:  Title I Students will receive free breakfast and lunch. Cold cereal breakfast will be available at 8:30 a.m., and lunch at 11:30a.m.
